The match committee will face some selection headaches this week with the SUNS coming off an impressive 40-point win over St Kilda.
Matt Rosa (hamstring) will miss the game, meaning there will be at least one forced change but there are a number of players putting their hand up for his spot.
Jesse Lonergan is firmly in the mix as the powerhouse midfielder returns from glandular fever. Lonergan last played in round 12 against Richmond and should play this weekend, but it’s still to be determined whether he comes straight back into the seniors or needs time in the NEAFL to regain his fitness.
Jarrod Garlett was best-on-ground in the reserves win over Southport, booting four goals to go with 24 disposals and nine tackles. The West Australian has played just the one senior game so far in 2016 but could earn a recall on the back of some solid form in the twos.
Also in the reserves, Josh Schoenfeld played his best game for the club with 27 disposals and 13 marks, Mitch Hallahan had 28 touches and seven inside 50s while Jack Leslie was a rock down back with 27 disposals, 12 marks and 10 rebound 50s. Keegan Brooksby was also among the best with 43 hitouts in a dominant ruck performance.
