The Gold Coast SUNS reserves will be made up of a mixture of Southport Sharks top-ups, AFL Cairns players, Academy players and a handful of listed players for their round eight NEAFL clash against Redland.
Only Mackenzie Willis, Cam Loersch, Keegan Brooksby, Tom Nicholls, Jarrod Garlett and Clay Cameron are available from a SUNS playing list struck by injury.
Brooksby may be a late call-up to the senior team if defender Jack Leslie cannot overcome an ankle injury suffered at Thursday's training session.
Gold Coast officials have been forced to turn to Far North Queensland for talent, with Kye Chapple and Jesse Mawson (Port Douglas) and Jermaine Wardle and Ryan Ethrington (South Cairns) making the journey south to pull on the SUNS’ red and gold.
Redland currently sit 6th on the ladder with three wins and three losses and are coming off a 60-point defeat to Aspley last week.
