SUNS midfielder Brayden Fiorini has been recognised with a call-up to this year’s 22Under22 squad nominated by the AFLPA (AFL Players Association).
The AFLPA board have selected an initial squad of the 40 best players in the competition under the age of 22.
Fiorini has had his best season to date in 2019, finally getting a run of consecutive games at AFL level after injuries have interrupted his previous campaigns.
The 21-year-old has missed just one game this year, playing a total of 18 matches and averaging 25.6 disposals, 4.4 marks and 4.9 tackles.
His nomination comes after Lachie Weller and Touk Miller were named in last year’s squad, with Peter Wright and Jack Martin selected the year prior.
Fans have the final say on who makes the cut, voting on the AFLPA website for which players should be included in the best 22.
The fan whose team is the best match of the final team selected by the board will win a prize.
