Last Week’s Events
Dion Prestia (MID, $569,000) continued his impressive history of scoring well alongside Gary Ablett (MID, $647,000) with a team-high 101 from 29 touches. In an unusual event for the SUNS from a Fantasy perspective, he was the only player who managed the triple-figure feat with many of their stars below their best. Gary Ablett was unable to produce a miracle after his interrupted pre-season and nursed his shoulder to a score of 61 which is basically half his 2014 average. Rookie Adam Saad (DEF/MID, $140,000) made a brilliant debut with 62, while Kade Kolodjashnij (DEF, $372,000) fell victim to a quarter time role change after reaching 30 points in the first, he only to finish on 37.
On The Radar
In the coming weeks, Ablett’s price is going to drop and provide us with a bargain selection as he continues to increase his match fitness. Last week he dropped $28,000 in price and his break-even of 157 suggest further drops are imminent. Jack Martin (FWD, $293,000) got better as the game went on. He scored 68 and took an impressive seven marks, giving him a break-even of just 38 and providing Fantasy coaches with a mid-priced Cash Cow. If you did not start with Adam Saad, it is worth bringing him in this week as his break-even of –4 is too good to pass up.
What’s Coming up?
Last time the SUNS met the Saints it was Prestia leading the way with 108 from 31 touches. Although Ablett was not available in their most recent match-up, historically he has some very impressive totals against the Saints with scores of 127, 135 and 143 coming within their last five encounters.
