70 ladies who share a love of AFL attended the Women of the SUNS first event of the year on Thursday night.

The cocktail party took place at the exquisite Cabana Bar at Southport Sharks and saw the ladies enjoy an elaborate evening of champagne and canapés.

Frolicking between individual Cabanas adorned with lavish draping and chic lighting fixtures the Cabana Bar was the perfect location for guests to swap notes on the 2016 season so far.

GC SUNS defender and Southport Shark junior, Rory Thompson, was able to enlighten the ladies as to where the team see themselves heading for the remainder of the season.

The Women of the SUNS functions are an opportunity for Gold Coast ladies to mingle with likeminded individuals. The WOTS, as they are affectionately known, will next congregate at the annual Ladies Lunch, taking place on June 17, 2016.
