The Herald Sun is reporting that Gold Coast SUNS forward Tom Lynch will turn his back on potential $10 million deals and remain loyal to SUNS.
The papers Chief Football Writer, Mark Robinson said the former Sorrento junior will re-sign for up to three years at $750,00-$800,000 a season.
Robinson says more than a dozen clubs have inquired about Lynch’s availability and his manager, Paul Connors, has given the cubs the bad news: He’s staying.
On the open market, Connors would be looking at a long-term deal — perhaps seven years — and on a financial package worth $10 million, Robinson writes.
On Sunday Lynch was appointed the SUNS co vice-captain, alongside Steven May and Dion Prestia.
GC SUNS List & Strategy Manager, Scott Clayton, and Connors will commence contract discussions in the coming days according to Robinson.
Lynch’s current contract expires at the end of the season and discussions between Connors and Gold Coast list manager Scott Clayton are expected to start in days.
Robinson also writes the Lynch news comes as confidence grows that gun midfielders Dion Prestia and Jaeger O’Meara will also sign new deals.
Following a breakout season in 2014, Tom Lynch elevated his game to another level last season, emerging as one of the best young key forwards in the game, as well as earmarking himself as a future leadee of the Gold Coast SUNS.
With experience and leadership spending large chunks of the year on the sidelines, Lynch grew as a leader, resulting in his first Club Champion prize – a year after finishing runner up to David Swallow.

Lynch booted 43.33 from 20 appearances in 2015, averaging 14.8 possessions, 6.7 marks, 3.6 inside 50s as well as wielding influence over the entire field with his presence.
The 23-year-old polled in 13 games, with a purple patch from round 17 to round 20 underpinning a brilliant season for the spearhead. Hauls of 46 and 43 goals in the last two years provide a launching pad to elevate his game further in 2016 and could see him enter the very top echelon of key forwards in the game in seasons to come.
