Without question, two of the cleanest players on the Gold Coast SUNS list are exciting forwards Callum Ah Chee and Jarrod Garlett.

Both possess the x-factor to turn a game on its head with just a sniff of an opportunity and as they develop consistency in their games are likely to become integral parts of Rodney Eade’s 22 in the future.

Interestingly, the two Indigenous talents have played football together prior to arriving at Metricon Staidum, with both Ah Chee and Garlett having learnt their craft at the South Fremantle Football Club in Western Australia.

Ah Chee was full of credit for Garlett after the latter re-signed with the club earlier in the week.

“Jarrod’s been awesome. Obviously we’ve played football earlier in our careers together,” Ah Chee told SUNS TV.

“He’s starting to play some really good consistent football and to have him here for another two years is fantastic.

“He’s good to have in the forward line, his cleanness and skill with the ball is really good.

“The way he goes about attacking the footy. He likes to attack the ball hard and as well as that he’s really keen so there’s things you can take out of Jarrod’s book as well as every player in the ground.”
