In a bid to further increase the club’s community efforts surrounding youth homelessness on the Gold Coast, the City’s annual Homeless Connect event will be brought to Metricon Stadium for the first time in 2013.
The Homeless Connect activities planned include a hot breakfast at the Stadium from 8am to 9am, live entertainment and presentations as the Community once again comes together to support this very worthy cause.
Homeless Connect is proudly supported by the Gold Coast SUNS, the Gold Coast Community Fund, City of Gold Coast, Horizon Housing, Queensland Shelter, Street SMART, ABC Coast FM and the Queensland State Government.
A number of collection Bins have also been placed outside the Gold Coast SUNS Shop as the club seeks to collect items including linen, blankets, clothing and non perishable food items for the Homeless Network.
