GC SUNS star, Dion Prestia, has put a signed guernsey up for grabs this Christmas as he aims to get his club across its last major milestone for 2014, as part of the 10 for 10,000 campaign.

The pocket rocket in the No. 10 jumper is calling on GC SUNS supporters to FIRE UP before the festive season to help the club reach 10,000 members before Christmas Day.

Prestia said he wanted to help out with the campaign to reach 10,000 members when he was part of the playing group which made hundreds of calls to prospective members in late November.

“When we were doing the membership calls late last month, I overheard club staff talking about wanting to reach a target of 10,000 members prior to Christmas,” Prestia said.

“As we weren’t far off that milestone, I thought I would help out by giving away a personally-signed guernsey to get the club over the line.”

The Prestia family has already edged the club closer to that mark, but it took some gentle prodding from Dion.

“I rang the family to make sure they were on board as members,” he said.

“A few of them had forgot to renew, so I made sure they rang the club straight away.”
