The Gold Coast SUNS reserves face a season defining clash against Eastlake at Metricon Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
If Josh Fraser’s side is going to keep their finals hopes alive, they must secure the premiership points against the tenth placed Demons.
Gold Coast is coming off a heartbreaking 11-point loss to Sydney at the SCG last Friday night – a result that makes their top-six aspirations more difficult than they otherwise would have been had they not have faded in the second half.
Another spate of injuries for Rodney Eade’s side will have a detrimental effect on the reserves with three forced changes depleting the SUNS stocks across the board.
The SUNS will have just ten listed players against Eastlake on Saturday, with half of them rookie listed, emphasising the injury curse at Metricon Stadium.
Andrew Boston and Clay Cameron return from the seniors, along with Seb Tape who has missed the last five weeks with a hamstring injury. Zac Smith and Henry Schade have both been elevated to the seniors to face Essendon.
