After back-to-back wins at Metricon Stadium, Gold Coast’s match committee will face the decision of whether to make any changes to the team to take on Fremantle on Saturday night.
It was a complete team performance against Adelaide with no injuries, but there were a few standout performances in the scratch match earlier in the day also.
Josh Corbett was one of the best SUNS afield in the reserves clash, dominating in the forward line with six goals to his name which could see his name arise in the selection debate.
He was supported by Peter Wright who also booted three goals and is ready to play at AFL level again.
Sean Lemmens and Brayden Fiorini were both unlucky to be omitted from the senior side last week to make way for David Swallow and Brandon Ellis.
Both could come back into consideration this week; Lemmens played well in the scratch match with fantastic defensive intent while Fiorini was the senior emergency.
Jesse Joyce is another who stood up in the reserves and played at AFL standard, being both dour defensively and lively in offense.
It will be an interesting decision what happens with Izak Rankine; he played four quarters in the scratch match but could be given more time to build match fitness before being considered for his AFL debut.
Others pressing to make their debuts are Sam Flanders and Jeremy Sharp who both showed promising signs on the weekend.
Who do you think is in the mix?
