Gold Coast’s match committee face another unenviable task of picking a team to take on Geelong this week at GMHBA stadium.
The SUNS went into Round 4 against Fremantle with an unchanged side, and after another win, Senior Coach Stuart Dew could opt to go with the same formula on the road.
But some consistent performances in the scratch matches have given Dew plenty to ponder ahead of the club’s first away game of the season.
Tall forward Josh Corbett has been knocking on the door for selection after kicking 10 goals in the last two weeks in the scratch matches.
He would give the SUNS more height in attack against a tall Geelong defensive front.
Sean Lemmens and Brayden Fiorini are proven at AFL level and could come back into the side after both had stints as the game-day emergency in the last fortnight.
Defensive trio Jack Hombsch, Jesse Joyce and Caleb Graham all had exceptional games on the weekend in the scratch match and have some good form behind them to press for selection.
Meanwhile there are three players waiting in the wings to make their AFL debuts in coming weeks in Izak Rankine, Sam Flanders and Jeremy Sharp.
Both Will Brodie and Peter Wright have also proven themselves at AFL level and will be eager to break back into the best 22 when a vacancy arises.
Who do you think is in the mix?
