The Gold Coast SUNS will head into Round 8 with no major injury concerns from the match against Sydney.
With the club set to play in its first primetime match this Thursday night, Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull said there was a big focus on recovery for this week.
“It was really pleasing to see us come out of the match last week with no injuries,” Bull told the Qscan Injury Update.
“We have a five-day break ahead of our Thursday night match which means there’s a more significant emphasis on recovery strategies this week. The players have recovered really well so far and are excited by the opportunity to build up their preparations for the game.”
George Horlin-Smith (foot) is tracking well, beginning to work through his running progressions last week and Rory Thompson (knee) is expected to integrate into the main training program within the next fortnight.
