The Gold Coast SUNS have suffered an injury blow ahead of the Round 18 match against Sydney, with star midfielder Michael Rischitelli ruled out of Saturday night's match.
Rischitelli sustained a knee injury , during the SUNS 11-point loss to the Brisbane Lions at Metricon Stadium last week.
The SUNS deputy-vice-captain failed to complete training on Wesnesday and has been subsequently ruled out of the SUNS battle with the to of the table Swans.

Michael suffered a considerable knock to his knee during last weekend's match and while we were hopeful that he would get through training on Wednesday, he was unable to do so, and therefore will be unavailable for selection.
Ashcroft said the SUNS were confident that Rischitelli would be available for selection next week.
"We believe Michael will be in a position to play against Melbourne at the MCG next week."
