Gold Coast SUNS midfielder Josh Schoenfeld will miss the next 2-3 weeks with a foot injury after injuring it in a tackle in a recent scratch match.
“Josh has sprained a joint in his midfoot in a tackle last week and pleasingly is progressing very quickly, coming out of the boot this week and working on his strength progressions.” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the Qscan Injury Update.
“Josh will return to running in the coming days and continue to build his loads back up over the next few weeks before returning to play.”
Jeremy Sharp pulled up with a hip complaint following his debut game in Round 10 against St Kilda but will be back training with the group this week.
“Jeremy experienced some mild discomfort in the anterior aspect of his hip post game and with the shorter turnaround into Round 11, we wanted to ensure he recovered fully.”
George Horlin-Smith has resumed training with the main group and will look to return to play in next weeks scratch match.
