For the first time in a few weeks, coach Rodney Eade and his match committee have some difficult decisions to make at the selection table.

After weeks of the team being struck by multiple injuries, there are a number of players in the mix to travel to Melbourne for Gold Coast’s round 12 clash against Richmond at the MCG on Sunday.

Mitch Hallahan, Rory Thompson and Trent McKenzie all returned from long-term injuries in the reserves last weekend and will be available for senior selection.

Sam Day has overcome a hip complaint and should play this week, while Sean Lemmens and Jarrad Grant are likely to be passed fit if they can complete training on Thursday.

Last week’s senior emergencies Matt Shaw (16 disposals, eight tackles) and Seb Tape (seven disposals, nine tackles in one half of football) are also likely to be considered.
