Five players are set to return from injury for the Gold Coast SUNS’ round 11 clash against Sydney on Saturday night at Metricon Stadium.
Midfielders Matt Rosa, Touk Miller and Alex Sexton all come into the side to face the Swans, who are the number one contested football team in the AFL.
Rosa (hamstring) and Sexton (arm) have both missed the last three weeks, while Miller (ankle) has missed two games.
Callum Ah Chee and Kade Kolodjashnij also return after missing just the one-week with concussion and abdominal pain respectively.
“We’ve got five players back this week, another three are playing in the seconds who are returning, three or four,” coach Rodney Eade told United Coaches Chat.
“That gives us eight or nine back. So that’s a step in the direct direction.”
As reported earlier on goldcoastfc.com.au, rookie Jesse Joyce will make his AFL debut, becoming the 37th player used by the SUNS this season.
Clay Cameron, Luke Russell, Matt Shaw, Seb Tape and Henry Schade have all been omitted from the round 10 side that lost to West Coast at Subiaco, while the recently re-signed Sean Lemmens misses with a rib injury.
