The Gold Coast SUNS have no new injuries after the Round 8 AFLW match against Carlton at Metricon Stadium.
Dynamic forward Tori Groves-Little is expected to be available for selection again after missing Round 8 through concussion.
“Tori is doing well, she’s fully recovered from her concussion and is progressing along the protocol nicely,” SUNS AFLW Head Physiotherapist Aaron Duffy told the Qscan Injury Update.
“She’ll re-join the main group for training this week and then all going well she’ll be available for Round 9.”
Defender Ellie Hampson is a chance to play her first AFLW match of the season as she continues her comeback from a lingering foot injury.
“Ellie’s doing well, she’s returned to play on the weekend in the QAFLW,” Duffy said.
“We’ll have a look at how Ellie trains with the group this week and then we’ll make a decision later in the week whether she’s available for Round 9 or not.”
In more positive news, Emma Pittman successfully returned for her first AFLW match in two years with no concerns coming out of the game.
