SUNS livewire Jy Farrar is a chance to return to action in Sir Doug Nicholls Round after missing the Round 10 fixture against Geelong.
Farrar missed the match against the Cats after suffering a cork against the Lions in Round 9.
SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull says Farrar’s availability for the clash against Hawthorn on Saturday night at TIO Stadium will be assessed at Wednesday night’s open training session at Metricon Stadium.
“Jy got a pretty significant cork during the game last week (against the Lions) and then felt quite sore during training on Wednesday so he wasn’t right to play on the weekend,” Bull said.
“He’ll be training tomorrow night and we’ll see how he gets through that to assess his availability on the weekend.”
Irishman Luke Towey will also continue to build on his road to recovery from a foot injury which has sidelined him for a significant portion of the season to date.
“Luke’s done really well coming back from his foot complaint. He’ll train tomorrow night as well and we’ll see how he goes before making a decision on the weekend,” Bull added.
