The Gold Coast SUNS and Steven May have accepted a reprimand and 93.75 carryover points for an off-the-ball incident in the third quarter against Travis Cloke at Metricon Stadium over the weekend.
The 190cm versatile Gold Coaster was on Monday charged with a Level One Engaging in Rough Conduct Offence, after the off-the-ball bump he laid on Collingwood’s premiership star was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point).
In summary, May will accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record because of the early plea, allowing him to be available for senior selection ahead of the side’s Round 18 clash against Carlton.
May has added 12 games to his career tally of 29 games this Premiership Season, and has provided Guy McKenna a strong target up forward – booting ten goals for the year.
