The Gold Coast SUNS hopes of reclaiming the QCLASH silverware have received a significant boost with experienced campaigner Greg Broughton set to return from injury against the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night.

After a stand out debut match for the Gold Coast where he all but shut down elite small-forward Stephen Milne, Broughton was a late withdrawal from the side to face the Swans at the SCG after injuring his calf.

With his fitness tested during the week, the match committee have decided to inject Broughton into the QCLASH fray and issued with a challenge to nullify two of the Lions biggest threats, James Polkinghorne and Josh Green.

Meanwhile hard-working defender Jack Hutchins retains his spot in the top 22 following his impressive outing against Sydney.

Promising youngster Jackson Allen is set to open his 2013 account after being named on the bench, however the home team will need to get the job done without pocket rocket Dion Prestia who misses the match with hip soreness.

Key forward Steven May is expected to see a lot more of the football on Saturday after being named at centre half-forward, with ruck-forward Charlie Dixon set to start the match from the centre circle.

The Gold Coast SUNS expecting a desperate Lions outfit, hungry to post their first premiership points of the season after suffering successive losses to start their campaign.
