Josh Hall has continued his impressive start to 2013, booting three-goals in the Gold Coast SUNS reserves 45-point loss to the Sydney Swans at the SCG last Saturday morning.

In wet-weather conditions, the Swans reserves jumped out of the blocks early against the youthful GC SUNS side, reaching out to a 35-point lead in the opening term before athletic ruckman Daniel Gorringe scored the first goal for the GC SUNS.

Promising youngster Clay Cameron was a steadying influence in an under-siege backline, and was among the side’s best-on-ground performers in just his second NEAFL appearance for the Gold Coast.

After missing the side’s 126-point win over Mt. Gravatt to injury, senior players Danny Stanley and Kyal Horsley took to the field and provided much-needed experienced through the middle of the ground.

The GC SUNS reserves squad has already turned their attention towards what may be their biggest test of the season, with the side beginning preparations for their QCLASH showdown against reigning NEAFL champions the Brisbane Lions reserves.

The QCLASH 5 curtain-raiser is scheduled to commence at 4:00pm with Gates opening from 3:50pm (Gate 1 only). A valid ticket for the GC SUNS vs. Brisbane Lions AFL game will gain patrons entry admission inside the stadium. Parking for this curtain raiser event will be available at Emmanuel College on Birmingham Road for a cost of $10.00 per vehicle.
