The leadership of Jarrod Harbrow is revered within the four walls of Metricon Stadium, with the Queenslander’s experience and guidance inspiring most young players who enter the Gold Coast SUNS system.
Harbrow’s influence in the Indigenous space is exceptionally strong, with the defender launching the Jarrod Harbrow Leadership Academy in December 2015.
Recently re-signed SUNS forward Jarrod Garlett said his decision to stay on the Gold Coast wouldn’t have happened if not for Harbrow.

“Actually I can probably give him most of it (credit for staying),” Garlett said.
“He took me in when I first got here, took me in at the start of the year, ended up staying with him and he’s played a pretty big role in my career.
“He’s one of the players that I looked up to, especially with his defensive side of the game he plays it’s something I want to put a part of mine.”
