It was another disappointing night for the Gold Coast SUNS, going down to Melbourne by 73 points at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night.

Star forward Tom Lynch was again a standout with four first-half goals and a couple of goal assists to his name, keeping the SUNS close at the main break before the game was opened up after half time.

At the other end of the ground Sam Day battled manfully, keeping Demons forward Jesse Hogan to a solitary goal. Adam Saad provided plenty of rebound for the SUNS with 15 disposals at 80% efficiency and a whopping 10 running bounces.

Touk Miller had 22 disposals and 10 tackles while first gamer Darcy Macpherson was a positive on a dark night, kicking his side’s opening goal and adding the manic forward pressure he was brought into the side to deliver.
