Tom Nicholls has won the NEAFL Player of the Year award.
Nicholls has played 17 NEAFL matches this year, due in part to the strong form of number one ruckman and club co-captain Jarrod Witts.

In those games Nicholls has accumulated a total of 701 hitouts at an average of 41 per match.
He’s also kicked eight goals and taken 36 marks across the season.
One of Nicholls’ strengths is his mobility around the ground and cleanliness below his knees, with the ruckman also able to average upwards of 15 disposals per game.
His leadership on the field is also nothing to shirk at, with Nicholls setting a fantastic example for the younger SUNS developing in the NEAFL.
