The GC SUNS regain Charlie Dixon (back) and Trent McKenzie (club suspension) for the match against Carlton, while Jacob Gillbee will play his first match of the season after booting six goals in the NEAFL last weekend.
General Manager - Football Operations Marcus Ashcroft said that Dixon, McKenzie and Gillbee would strengthen the GC SUNS.
We were fairly pleased with our effort last week, in particular up until three quarter time, and we think the three inclusions to the team will help us this week.
"Charlie has been in really good form both in the ruck and in the backline and we started to see some of Trent's form from last year return over the past couple of months.
Ashcroft said that Gillbee had been knocking on the door of senior selection for some time.
Jacob has worked extremely hard to get his opportunity. Similar to last year his senior opportunity has come late in the season and we think he will again equip himself very well, Ashcroft said.
The GC SUNS have omitted Jared Brennan, Andrew McQualter and Josh Toy. They will join six other players representing the GC SUNS Reserves team in the NEAFL Elimination Final against Redland at Victoria Point on Sunday at 1.30pm.
Brennan heads the list of omissions and for the second time this season he has been dropped due to poor form.
For some time Jared hasn't been playing to the level we all know he can and unfortunately for him that means he hasn't been selected this week.
"We hope that Jared can find some of that form we know his is capable of with the reserves on Sunday and if so, he will put his hand up for selection against the crows next week."
