Tough players stand up in wet conditions and given the state of Metricon Stadium on Saturday night, the endeavour of those in the red and gold could never come into question.

Despite going down to the Swans by 38 points, the majority of the SUNS team brought the effort and pressure on the night which started in the midfield with the home team winning the contested possession count.

Matt Rosa returned from a hamstring injury and played his best game in SUNS colours with 33 touches and nine clearances while Touk Miller was equally as prolific with a career-high 32 disposals (18 contested).

Dion Prestia was back to his accumulating best with 39 disposals, eight clearances, 11 tackles and a game-high 698 metres gained. Michael Rischitelli accumulated 30 disposals (19 contested) and nine clearances while skipper Gary Ablett had 26 and 13 tackles.

Jarrod Harbrow had 24 disposals and his attack on the footy was a highlight, while Callum Ah Chee showed why he was taken as a top ten draft pick with 20 touches, eight tackles and clean touch despite the conditions.
